Are you feeding the demons? Good food, bad food...

We all know that Satan is the enemy of our God, but how often do we stop and think about what we are eating.  I don't mean just the hamburgers or pizza you you enjoy... or the soda and chips.
I am talking about feeding your spirit.
It is written in our Father's word that Satan is here to steal, destroy and kill the kingdom of God.
"How does he do it?"... you might ask.
The answer is simple.
It is all about what we consume in our spiritual lives. Just as food and water is necessary to sustain our human bodies, the Word of God is necessary in sustaining our Spiritual being.
Satan has devised a plan to stop us from eating the words of life.
And he, as the enemy of our God and us, seeks to take over and destroy God's kingdom by taking captive the minds and bodies of God's intended children. 
How does he do it?
He whispers lies relentlessly. He plants seeds of doubt, accusations, fears and lies. And he does it in such sneaky and sly ways, that sometimes a person has no clue what has happened.
God warns us in Scripture that the devil is like a wolf in sheep's clothing:
Romans 16:17-20
17 Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them. 18 For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting. 19 For the report of your obedience has reached to all; therefore I am rejoicing over you, but I want you to be wise in what is good, and innocent in what is evil.

20 And the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
God has given us the Bible as our instruction, His truths and words of life so that we may live a prosperous

and joy-filled life.
It is important that we, as God's children, stop listening to the lies of the enemy and stop feeding on the destruction

of selfish desires, hatred, mocking, spitefulness pain, and resentment that grows from daily feeding at the table of

the enemy. 
God has a better plan for us! He tells us that when we let Him into our hearts, He will come in and sup with us. God will feed us with  His word, His love and His provision and His gifts. Feeding at God's table is beneficial to our happiness, our life depends on His word, His spirit... the Holy Spirit that operates within us as His children.
Revelation 3:20, Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:  if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 
Did you know that when you are feeding yourself full of the lies of the enemy, you are actually starving your soul?
You are starving to death, in death and division created and caused by eating bad spiritual food.  
You CAN stop feeding the demons and turn your life around!
Just like going on a diet and stopping the junk food, so that your body begins to recover and become healthy again, your spiritual life can also be turned around.  
Let go of the lies the gossip, the sinfulness of anger and revenge and repent to our God for the bad food that you have been feeding your soul. 
Change your diet!
Read the Bible, sing praises to God. It is our God who gives life! It is our God who feeds our innermost wants and desires!  
His word tells us: Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalms 37:4)
Did you know that when we feed on the dirty, nasty filth of evil that is so prevalent in society, whether in music, television, movies or even in the cartoons that our children watch, it feeds our souls. And what we put in our bodies, also comes out of our bodies via our words and actions towards others, and even towards ourselves in self doubt and loss of hope or even suicide. 
We see anger, violence, disrespect, gossip, child abuse, cruelty to animals, glorification of death and evil practically everywhere we turn. 
And when our ears and eyes are filled with such things, it is as food is to the body... only it is polluting the minds and hearts of a people who are intended to love and worship the one and only God who created us in His image!
When we feed ourselves with a diet of God's word... in worship and praise... feeding on His Word, we begin to see ourselves in a new light... His light. 
We become a people who operate in the fruits of the Holy Spirit which are explained by Paul in his Letter to the Galatians: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."
And when we turn away from feeding the evil and feed on God's truths, we find that we soon are given the desires of our hearts. We begin to live in a freedom given by our Lord instead of the pitiful state of confusion and death that the enemy of our God seeks for us to feed on. 
Just as food and water is necessary to sustain our human bodies, the Word of God is necessary in sustaining our Spiritual being!
Satan's lies are his devised  plan to stop us from eating the words of life!
As the enemy of our God and us, Satan has a plan which seeks to take over and destroy God's kingdom by taking captive the minds and bodies of God's intended children. 
 
My prayer for today is that Satan and his lies are exposed and that those who have been operating as vessels of the enemy of our God, turn from feeding on the lies of the enemy and begin consuming the truth of God and His love for us. May we all stand firm on the truths of our Father in Heaven and feed on His words!
Jeremiah 29:11,  For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Father God, in the name of Jesus I bind every evil lie that feeds the spirit with things of death and destruction and I loose your truth and feeding on your Word daily. I praise You alone Father God.
