We Celebrate True Intimacy...the Birth of Baby Jesus...A celebration of God's love.
Patricia Ann
Is the celebration of Jesus' birth really about gift giving or intimacy receiving?
Have you ever thought that the love of Jesus is intimate? Because of that intimate love, He willingly gave up His life for
you and me.
As we celebrate Christmas and the birth of Jesus this year, let us really look into the depths of His love and the miracle of His birth.
Jesus was born a miracle child, placed in Mary's womb by God, Himself, for the Purpose and Glory of a true and intimate, loving relationship between us and Himself.
Jesus birth is the most wonderful, life changing miracle that we will ever experience as God's children.
Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
God's word tells us that He even knew us before we were formed in our mother's wombs. He was present and made sure that we breathed our first breath of air into our lungs and let out our first cry. He smiled at yet another one of His children being born into the world. He hears our every heartbeat. He knows every hair on our head. He knows we will grow and learn, have successes, difficulties and losses, laughter and tears. He knows that we will always need Him and that even that as we grow and mature, many of us will be led astray and one day return into His open and loving arms. He is ever present in our daily lives, listening intently for our voice. He hears our prayers and He loves it when we sing!
Because God made us, He intimately knows us better than anyone else ever will. Our relationship with Jesus is sacred. His intimate love can make us feel known in a way that no one on earth is able; and in this we can experience true intimacy with Himself in an awesome and indescribable way. We just know that we belong with Him and we want to be in His presence. His intimate love for us is accepting, satisfying, worthiness and beautiful love all wrapped up in true intimacy.
Without the birth of Jesus, as our Savior, true intimacy would not be possible.
Jesus' birth brought about true intimacy for God's people.
Yes!
The birth of Jesus is a gift, but even more than that, it offers a true intimate relationship with God, our Father in heaven, the One who loves us the Most! Without the possibility of the birth of Jesus as our Savior and an intimate relationship with our Father, we would never be free to love, to worship, to live in true joy and peace.
Jesus calls us worthy. He calls us His beloved. His promises to us never fail. He is our bridegroom and we are His bride.
My prayer for this Christmas day is that we all experience the joy that comes from having an intimate relationship with God and know that it is He who loves us the Most, more intimately than anyone else ever will.
May we rejoice in the birth of our Savior, Jesus, not with gift giving , but with intimacy receiving. A celebration of God's love.
Love and blessings to All in Jesus' precious Name.
