Hebrews 12:28-29, Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire.
I woke early from a dream. I was aware that I had been in the glorious presence of our Father in Heaven.
It was Christmas time in my dream. I was at a Christmas party at the home of the pastor of the church I had previously attended. I saw members of my family there and many people from the church, of course.
Everyone was mingling, talking and munching on snacks. Suddenly in the corner of the room, I saw what appeared to be a small bush (Christmas tree) catch fire and in a moments time it was consumed in a burning flames.
I stood in awe as I was made very aware that we are all standing in the presence of God! I remember how excited I was! I thought that everyone would be be equally in awe, excited and feeling the glory of God.
This wasn't so.
I watched in amazement as almost nobody seemed to notice!
I walked up to my family member, who was there to pick up someone. I wanted to share the glory of our God. She seemed very unconcerned, as she went about her business of picking up her friend from the party.
Then I spotted the pastor sitting on the sofa in this big room. He was in direct view of the tree that had just been consumed by the fire of God, yet he continued his conversation on the telephone as if nothing had happened in the room.
What was happening? I wondered.
Couldn't anyone feel the presence of our God?
Didn't they care?
Do they not know that they just witnessed the all consuming fire of God?
Where was the awe?
The feelings I was feeling were overwhelming.
We were standing in the all consuming presence of our Father in heaven with a group of church members who failed to give Him the reverence He so greatly deserves.
Were they blind?
I woke from my dream feeling the pure and the total love of my Father, but also very concerned and saddened that almost all of the people who I was with seemed so unconcerned about the burning bush.
I sat quietly for a while, knowing that I just needed to be still, to sit in the presence of God.
He had a message for me.
He was giving me a message to share.
He gives us His message through Scripture:
"Hear this now, O foolish people, without understanding,
Who have eyes and see not, and who have ears and hear not:
Do you not fear Me?’ says the Lord.
‘Will you not tremble at My presence?" Jeremiah 5:21-22
"But they refused to heed, shrugged their shoulders, and stopped their ears so that they could not hear. Yes, they made their hearts like flint, refusing to hear..." Zachariah 6:11-12
Our Father in Heaven tells me, " Woe to those who reject Him. Woe to those who seek the ways of the world, for they are indeed blinded in this time."
In my dream, I saw people standing in the presence of the all consuming fire of God and not recognizing Him. They truly did refuse to heed, shrugged their shoulders and stopped their ears so that they could not hear.
Woe to those who do not tremble in His presence!
Our Father in Heaven is telling us to wake up! Take the blinders off and see His glorious light, feel His presence and His awesome love.
Our God desires a real relationship with us, not a lukewarm existences, sitting in a church pew on Sunday morning and giving your weekly tithe, but an all consuming relationship that glorifies Him, ultimately, with every breath we take and every word we speak. Let our lives reflect who He is in us...an all consuming fire!
Hebrews 12:28-29 Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire.
My prayer for today is that we wake up, experience our God, fall on our knees in awe and reverence to who He is...the all consuming fire!!
Be blessed in Jesus name...Amen.

"Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables; and without a parable He did not speak to them, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying: 'I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things kept secret from the foundation of the world.'” Matthew 13:34-35
"And the disciples came and said to Him, 'Why do You speak to them in parables?' He answered and said to them, 'Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given...
Therefore, I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, and seeing you will see and not perceive; for the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed..." Matthew 13:10-15
"... if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

"Paul... has written to you, as also in all his epistles... in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.

"...we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
