It is written that Jesus said in Matthew 5:14-16 "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven."
When we know and accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, His light shines through us. We are able to walk with His love and His compassion towards all people, sharing with them the glory of our Father in Heaven.
In John 8:2, Jesus teaches, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
Walking with the light of Jesus is awesome!
It is my prayer that we take time to focus on the light that God has provided to us and seek to let it shine in our daily walk, in the way we talk and in our interactions with others.
I pray that as we offer a smile or a kind word to those we meet, it will bring light to the darkness of the world and bring praise and glory to our Father in heaven.
As He teaches us... "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven."
Praise God for His great love and light.
