A fish out of water
Written by Patricia Ann 11/24/22
On Thanksgiving day, I saw this dead fish along the street in town. I thought ...hmmm...a fish out of water. Not everyone fits in at the family get togethers...sometimes feeling like a fish out of water.
I just want to say, "It's ok. Be a blessing and let your light shine!! Live, love and laugh. Holidays can be hard, but being a fish out of water leads to death. Jump in the pool of the family get together and make a big splash! Have fun!! Be a blessing and experience blessings and life... 💦 🌊 🐟 😊 ❤️ !!!
Just as our Jesus suffered rejection from family and friends, and others who did not understand Who He Is, He loved each and every one unto His death on the Cross. His final words...Forgive them Father. They know not what they do.
And so, we also have the opportunity to love and to forgive. We can choose to love over and over again...unto life! We can choose forgiveness and we can sit at a table with those who do not know or understand who we are...and still enjoy the day, allowing our own unique love and light to shine in the midst of feeling "like a fish out of water.".
And if the truth is really known...we may discover there are others in the family who feel the same sense of not belonging and feeling rejected.
So, don't be afraid. Just jump right in. Jump in the pool of the family get together and make a big splash! Have fun!! Be a blessing and experience blessings and life... 💦 🌊 🐟 😊 ❤️ !!!
My prayer for today is this...
Father God, you alone know each and every heart. You made us in Your image, full of love and light. May we not be hindered by worldly thoughts and feelings, but only allow our focus to be on You. Then the beautiful light you placed inside of each of us can shine all around, illuminating any darkness with Your love, forgiveness and Glory. Thank you, my Lord, for being the Most wonderful Father! Amen.
