On my knees...

When I was on my knees

and tears flooded my soul,

You met me in my agony,

my misunderstandings,

my not knowing which way 

or where to go.

You simply said,

"Here, take my hand."

And when my hand touched Your hand,

I felt the energy and presence of Your love.

And tears flooded my soul

in a new and indescribable way. 

My agony and my misunderstandings

all melted away. 

When I was on my knees

in misunderstanding and sorrow, 

You took away all fear and confusion.

When my hand touched Your hand,

tears flooded my soul, 

and I became very aware 

of just how much 

I have always needed You!

Distraction and fear 

of the things of this world

sought to overtake my soul.

But You, my Lord...

You never let me go.

On my knees, I thank You

and I praise Your Holy Name.

Isaiah 41:10  So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
