Recipe for Life ... The Healing Power of Jesus Christ

Recently, I heard of a young person who received a scary diagnosis from his doctors. 
I would like to share my belief of... God's recipe for life.
Many of us have had or do have a family member, friend or acquaintance who has been diagnosed with an illness

or disease. 
Some are told there is a great chance of recovery with the right treatment and a full life can be expected. 
But what about those who are given a less positive outcome?
What if they are given a life sentence of only a few weeks, months or years to live? 
Hearing such news will undoubtedly put a person into shock.
We all desire to live long and happy, successful lives -  seeking marriage, children, etc. 
 
What happens when a young person in their early twenties gets the grim news of a vastly shortened lifespan with only a few years to live?
Does this once so full of life individual retreat into himself or herself, trying hard to guard their heart and their pain from others and themselves as well?
 
Do they seek desperately to find answers to all the "why's" that keep running through their mind.
Why me? 
What should I do? 
Where and how do I go on from this point in my life? 
Why should I keep living?
There is no hope.
 
Or is there?
Regardless of age , parents share these worries about their sick children  and children worry about their ailing parents. Friends worry about friends. 
As our world is filled with worry, pain and sickness,
humanity often finds itself overwhelmed by the "bigness of the unknown".
But please remember and believe -- That "there is nothing that exists that is bigger than God!"
 
Did you know that God has a recipe for Life?
The recipe begins with Love -
His great love for us was given to us at Creation and with each and every child born  - you and me - God was there, smiling down, giving us our first life sustaining breath
and He continues to do so every day of our lives -  sustaining us and providing us with this great love.
 
He feels our pain,  our anguish, our confusion and our fear
and to all of these things he He adds His compassion, His mercy and His grace, as well as His understanding to our illness -- our condition.
 
When we come to Him ...
Jesus can and will provide to each of us , peace of mind and a healing of our soul. 
A physical body may not be completely healed of its affliction - cancer, heart disease, etc. ,
but Jesus can and will undoubtedly cure the inner workings of His children's soul - the heart - so that when the time comes we will be ready to live in eternity with him.
 
Coming into relationship with Jesus gives us strength in every situation,
As His love comforts us from deep within, we can continue our journey through our daily lives with our focus on Him as our Saviour, our Father in Heaven, who only desires the best for each of His children.
 
So, if you or someone you know is sick with worry from an illness or diagnosis --STOP and turn your heart to Heaven!
Don't add the overwhelming consequences of fear and worry to God's recipe for your life. 
 
His recipe is simple -- Love, patience, faith, mercy, healing, peace and joy. 
Believe in God's recipe for your life and live every day in the knowledge that He has a great plan for your future!
 
Healing Scriptures:
  
Deuteronomy 30:19-20
This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20) and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
 
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 53:4 -5
Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. 5) But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.
Matthew 21:21
Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, `Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done.
 
You are invited to come into relationship with Jesus Christ as your Savior by praying the following Prayer:                                           
Dear Lord, 
I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don’t please you. I have lived my life for myself. I am sorry and I repent. I ask you to forgive me. I believe that you died on the cross for me, to save me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life, I give it to you. Help me to live every day in a way that pleases you. I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you.
Amen.
 
My prayer for today is that we allow ourselves into relationship, seeking Our Lord, Jesus Christ and receive His wonderful Recipe for Life, His Love and His Healing Power.
